Background Information
As part of their first "milestone" (due dates by which students needed to have completed specific steps in the semester-long process of exploring the intersection of Linguistics and AI), students were tasked with familiarizing themselves with the core issues of computational linguistics and the general concepts (NLP, LLMs, MT) that they would be exploring over the coursses of the semester.
